Question: Vietnam visa on arrival at the airport for Chinese citizen
We are flying to Ho Chi Minh City this month, our flight is from Guangzhou, China. Why there is no option for Chinese citizen to obtain Letter of Approval through your website in order to get visa on arrival at the airport?
Thank you.
Answer
I am asking about Vietnam visa for my Chinese friend. He is living in Thailand and is a resident here with work permit. He will travel to Saigon together with other Thai friends including me. Can he apply for Visa on Arrival when arriving at the airport? Or does he need to apply for visa before leaving Thailand. ThanksAnswer
Dear Nikola Perisic,Thank you very much for your email.
In reply to your query, we are pleased to inform you that Chinese passport holders flying from China mainland, Hong Kong and Macau might be asked for Vietnam visa stamp when check-in, therefore, you are recommended to apply visa at Vietnam embassy there. If you fly from other countries, Vietnam visa on arrival is acceptable and visa stamp will be granted upon Vietnam international airports. Kindly confirm us your nationality for further support.
