Question: US citizen visa types
Sirs,
I am a US citizen and would like a one month visa for Vietnam, Last year I was told I can only get a One Year visa which cost over $100. Is this still the case or can I get a one month single entry, and what is the cost for the Approval letter and stamping fee? My wife has a German passport, what are the fees for her?

Thank you for contacting us.
We are writing to inform that from 15 Dec 2016, United States passport holders can choose 1 month OR 3 months OR 1 year visa as they wish to. For a 1 month-single entry visa, the processing fee is USD 16.00/person and stamping fee is USD 25.00/person.
Regarding your concern about the visa for your wife, Germany passport holders are still exempted for a Vietnam visa within 15 days, single entry. To enjoy the visa free, the new entry date must be at least 30 days apart from your last exiting date in Vietnam using visa exemption. If the time distance is less than 30 days, you still need to apply for a visa.
Therefore, kindly check and confirm us if your wife meets the conditions to enjoy this visa free policy.
