Question: How to get a 1-year multiple entry visa for US citizens?

I am traveling to Vietnam in late September.  I will be staying for two weeks. I read on another website that US citizens have to get a 1-year multiple entry visa, effective August 29, 2016.  Is this correct? How much is your processing fee?

Thank-you.

Answer

Dear Brian,

Thank you for contacting us.

We would like to confirm that normally if you stay in Vietnam for 2 weeks, you only need to apply for a 1 month-single entry visa with processing fee of USD 16.15/person (excluding stamping fee); however, from 25 August 2016, United States passport holders applying for Vietnam visa will obtain 1 year-multiple entry visa. Stamping fee of USD 135.00/person is applied accordingly. Please find the English translated attachment for details.

We hope that this information is helpful for you. Kindly let us know if you wish to apply for Vietnam visa or should you have any further concern.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
