Question: Get Vietnam visa for UK British passport

Hello,

I am wondering whether I need a visa for Vietnam. I hold a UK British passport and I am flying to Hanoi from Bangkok on Friday 21st April for five nights.

The British embassy website says until June 2017 I do not need a visa.

Please confirm this.

Regards

Stacey

Answer

Dear Stacey,

Thank you for contacting us.

We would like to confirm that according to the Vietnam Government Decree (effective until 30 June 2017), British passport holders are still exempted for a Vietnam visa within 15 days, single entry. To enjoy the visa free, the new entry date must be at least 30 days apart from your last exiting date in Vietnam using visa exemption. If the time distance is less than 30 days, you still need to apply for a visa.

Therefore, kindly check if you meet the conditions to enjoy this visa free policy.

We hope that the above information is helpful for you. Should you need any further support, please let us know.

Best regards,

Daphne Le (Ms.)
