Question: Double entry visa to Vietnam
Dear Sirs,
I have been recommended your site so me and my travel friends would be happy to use your services for our visas to Vietnam.
Our plan:
We are planning to fly to Ho Chi Minh City then buy a motorbike and drive around Southern Vietnam for about 1-2 weeks. Then cross the border into Laos at Lao Bao – Dansavanh then Cambodia then back to Vietnam (at Prek Chak / Xa Xia) after about 3 weeks.
Visas needed for:
– 1 Swiss citizen (me): I would need a double-entry visa that is valid for more than 1 month!
– 1 South Korean citizen: As far as I know, South Koreans can get 15 days visa on arrival? Will this be available at Xa Xia border?
– 1 Indonesian citizen: As far as I know, Indonesians can get 30 days visa on arrival? Will this be available at Xa Xia border?
– 1 American citizen (already in Vietnam with 30 days single-entry visa): How can he get a second-entry visa to cross back in to Vietnam at Xa Xia?
Please let me know which possibilities we have.

Please find more detail information bellowed:
- 1 Swiss citizen (me): I would need a double-entry visa that is valid for more than 1 month!
There are 2 types of Viet Nam visa on arrival, 1 month and 3 months visa. However, 3 months is for business purpose only and basing on the new regulation of Viet Nam Immigration Department in business visa on arrival processing, in order to apply for 3 month multiple entries visa, you are required to be guaranteed by a company partner in Viet Nam.
Therefore, there is 2 options for you:
1. Apply single entry 1 month visa on arrival to enter Viet Nam then, when you travel in Laos or Cambodia, you apply a new visa single entry at Viet Nam embassy here for your second entry.
2. Or you can apply directly at Viet Nam embassy at your nearest place now to get the visa 3 months (normally there are not complicated requirements as visa on arrival with this type of visa)
- 1 South Korean citizen: As far as I know, South Koreans can get 15 days visa on arrival? Will this be available at Xa Xia border?
Yes, you are right. Korean is visa exempted for 15 days for each entry and can enter at any Viet Nam border.

He have to apply new visa for second entry by one of 2 ways:
1. Apply with us and the visa result will be faxed to Viet Nam embassy in Laos or Cambodia and he can get the visa stamp there.
2. Apply directly with Viet Nam embassy Laos or Cambodia when he travels there. (it takes him go by twice to apply and get the visa result).
