Question: Application for Visa

Dear Sir/Madam,

In October, 2015, myself and a friend have booked a 14 day holiday to Vietnam through a travel company. I have been told that to follow the “Application for Visa” procedure ‘on line’ is risky as there have been incidents of “Visa Scams” and illegal use of applicants’ personal details when applied for ‘on-line. In the circumstances, could you advise me if there is an alternative means of making the application and if so what procedure we need to follow and the time frame for making the application prior to travel

We would like to inform that there are two common ways to get Vietnam visa for Australian citizens as follows.

1/. Apply for Vietnam visa at Vietnam embassies/consulates: It is the traditional way to get Vietnam visa. It is effective for all citizens and for all borders in Vietnam (airports, land or sea). You are advised to go to the nearest embassy/consulate of Vietnam to apply visa in person. Please visit our website here to find the nearest one. Kindly contact them for detailed visa procedure and fee.

2/. Apply for Vietnam visa on arrival: It is applicable for air travelers only. If you do not wish to go to the embassy to apply in person and would like to get your visa result without waiting for so long, you can apply with us online here and receive your visa result within 1 - 2 working days only.

IMPORTANT: If your visa application is approved by Vietnam Immigration Department, you will receive the visa pre-approval letter. It is issued by Vietnam Immigration Department which is beyond our control and due to the higher volumes of tourists entering Vietnam per day, it may share your information with other applicants. However, we are able to support you with a private letter. Please drop us a message that you wish to have a private letter of approval without sharing with others. For sure, we will do our best to support you.
