Theo kế hoạch của Việt Nam để mở lại du lịch quốc tế từ ngày 15/03/2016, Bộ Y tế đề xuất các quy định cho phép du khách quốc tế tham gia và đi du lịch tự do tại Việt Nam trong trường hợp họ đáp ứng tất cả các yêu cầu sau đây:

• Có một xét nghiệm covid-19 âm tính;
• Vắc -xin hoàn toàn và giữ chứng chỉ vắc -xin covid; hoặc giấy chứng nhận phục hồi từ covid;
• Cô lập trong một ngày khi nhập cảnh.

Việc nối lại ngành công nghiệp du lịch theo bình thường mới nên dựa trên việc đánh giá mức độ dịch Covid-19 ở mọi khu vực. Các điểm đến dự kiến ​​sẽ cung cấp dịch vụ lưu trữ, tham quan và giải trí cho khách du lịch, đồng thời, các khu vực này cần phải chuẩn bị một kế hoạch dự phòng để đối phó với sự phát triển của Covid-19 trong quá trình mở lại để đảm bảo sức khỏe hoàn toàn cho du khách và công dân địa phương.

Travelers over 12 years old inclusive entering Vietnam must hold a certificate proving that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 received at least 14 days but no more than six months before the date of arrival; or they must hold a certificate proving that they have recovered from COVID-19 within six months upon the entry date.

Travelers must have a negative RT-PCR/RT-LAMP test result within 72 hours of arrival, supported by authorities of the region where the tests were conducted.

Visitors should make medical declarations and have to install the Vietnam COVID-19 app (PC-COVID) during their stay in Vietnam.

At the border gates, visitors with symptoms of suspected COVID-19 infections (coughing, fever, runny rose, sore throat, muscle aches, loss of taste and smell, etc.) should report to the health authorities at the border gate for appropriate health measures.

International tourists are required to self-isolate in their accommodation for the first 24 hours after entry, then have a COVID-19 test. In the first 72 hours after entry, tourists are recommended to not leave their accommodation, in case they want to travel immediately, they will need to have a negative COVID-19 test result every day before going out.

During the first 3 days after entry, tourists have to take 2 COVID-19 tests – one on the first day and another on the third day. If results return negative both times, they can travel freely but still need to self-monitor their health for the following seven days and comply with pandemic prevention measures.

Tourists under 12 years old may enter Vietnam along with their parents/relatives without the need for COVID-19 vaccination certificates. Children under 2 years old don’t need to take COVID-19 tests and can participate in activities outside their accommodation along with their parents and relatives.

Những người có nguy cơ cao như những người từ 65 tuổi trở lên, phụ nữ mang thai, những người có điều kiện y tế tiềm ẩn nhưng không cần theo dõi và điều trị liên tục tại các cơ sở y tế, nên hạn chế việc đi lại cho đến khi các khuyến nghị mới và tuân thủ nghiêm ngặt các quy tắc tiêm chủng CoVID-19 trước khi vào Việt Nam.

Khách du lịch phải theo thông điệp 5K trong quá trình di chuyển từ cổng biên giới đến nơi ở. Trong các trường hợp khẩn cấp khi cần dừng lại, các biện pháp an toàn phải được thực hiện để ngăn chặn sự lây lan của Covid-19.
