In case you have not heard about the Vietnam Government Decree (effective until 30 June 2017), French passport holders are exempted for a Vietnam visa within 15 days, single entry. To enjoy the visa free, the new entry date must be at least 30 days apart from your last exiting date in Vietnam using visa exemption. If the time distance is less than 30 days, you still need to apply for a visa.
