Question: Visa pour le Vietnam – questions de base
Bonjour,
Je souhaite voyager au Vietnam à partir du 01.09 environ. jusqu'au 01.11.2016.
Je n’ai pas encore réservé mes vols pour Hanoi.
Dois-je d'abord réserver mes vols et ensuite demander un visa ?
Si je n’obtiens pas de visa après avoir acheté mon vol, j’ai dépensé de l’argent pour rien !
OU dois-je d'abord postuler avec une date approximative d'arrivée et de départ et une fois que j'aurai obtenu le visa, je réserverai mes vols ?

Good morning Gerd,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
We would like to confirm that the date of arrival in your visa application should be the earliest date you expect to arrive in Vietnam so you can enter Vietnam on or after this date and stay within the granted period stated in the approval letter. Therefore, we recommend you to apply for a visa first, then book your flights later to avoid any unexpected situations.

Please note that Vietnam Government has just published a new Decree since 01 Jul 2016 (Vietnam time) to extend the Visa exemption policy for German passport holders staying in Vietnam within 15 days for another year until 30 Jun 2017 (each visit using visa exemption must be at least 30 days apart from each other). Therefore, if you have chances to visit Vietnam within 15 days, you could consider using this visa exemption right to save costs.
