We would like to confirm that your son will need to apply for a 1 month-single entry visa for his 17-day trip to Vietnam before entering Vietnam. For your case, there are two common ways to apply for a tourist visa to Vietnam as follows:
1. Applying for Vietnam Visa at Vietnam Embassies/Consulates (effective for all citizens and all borders in Vietnam): Please go to the Embassy/Consulate of Vietnam abroad to apply the visa in person. Kindly contact them for detailed procedure and fees. You can visit here to find the one that nearest your place.
2. Applying for Vietnam Visa on Arrival with www.vietnamvisa.org.vn (applicable for air travellers only): If you are flying to Vietnam, you may consider to apply for visas on arrival. You can 여기에 온라인 비자 신청서를 제출하세요또는 여권 스캔본을 보내주시고 도착 날짜와 추가 지원을 신청하려는 비자 유형을 확인해 주시기 바랍니다.
Kindly note that with the second option, Russian passport holders are exempted from the stamping fee when you get the official stamped into your passport at Vietnam international airports. Therefore, you only need to make a payment for the processing fee.
