The market research also indicates that the number of visitors coming from Singapore and Malaysia is trending upwards and is expected to continue to pick up in the coming time.

Individual tourists and tour groups in 2013 were the two largest components of guests visiting the country, accounting for 35.3% and 31.1% of the total, respectively, while the number of business travellers to the country saw a slight decrease of 5.3%.

The number of international visitors coming to Viet Nam for Meetings, Incentive Travels, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) attending conferences and events jumped significantly.
