Question: Apply Vietnam visa for the 5-year multiple
My single visa expired on May 16, 2014. I haven’t made the trip to Vietnam. I now wish to extend this visa until Aug 1, 2014, date of arrival in Vietnam. Or to apply for the 5-year multiple visa.
Pls tell me what I have to do.

Thank you for contacting us.
This is to inform that if your visa is expired and you have not enter Vietnam with this visa, it is automatically cancelled and you have to apply a new visa to visit Vietnam later.
Additionally, there is not 5-year visa but visa exemption card with 5 year validity for expatriates Vietnamese living abroad. To apply visa exemption card, you are advised to go to the nearest Embassy/Consulate of Vietnam in United States. Kindly contact them for procedure and fees.
