Khanh Hoa earns over VND3.5 trillion from tourism

The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa greeted 270,000 tourists in November 2013, bringing its tourism arrivals so far this year to more than 2.7 million, a year-on-year rise of 29 percent, and 91 percent of the year’s plan, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Of this figure, foreign arrivals reached more than 631,000, up 33 percent against a year previous.

During the period, the province’s tourism turnover posted more than VND3.58 trillion, up 36 percent over a year previous and exceeding nearly 20 percent of the year’s plan.

Currently, Khanh Hoa is in high season for receiving foreign tourists. In November, room capacity of hotels in the province reached nearly 70 percent.
